HOMFLY-PT Tails

Visualizations of the HOMFLY-PT Tails.

To visualize the tail phenomenon of the colored HOMFLY-PT polynomials, we normalize each polynomial by its lowest q and highest a power for the tail, and vice versa for the head.

  • x axis: q powers
  • y axis: a powers
  • heatmap: coefficient of monomials, where orange is +1, green is -1, red is > 1, and blue is < 1
  • timestep: the color of the polynomial
